Tomales High School Annual Science Symposium

What if students were supported in their science learning by community, legislators, and working scientists? Since 2018, River Otter Ecology Project has partnered with Tomales High School to offer an annual science symposium where students present their field research through scientific posters and formal presentations at an all-school assembly. Families are encouraged to attend; PowerPoint presentations are translated into Spanish, and posters may be in English and/or Spanish.

The symposium involves students in the AP Environmental Science and Physiology classes, who prepare projects based on topics inspired by their field trips and individual interests. They present at an all-school assembly attended by special guests — family members, the Principal, Superintendent, school board members, and fellow Tomales High students.

The event includes a panel discussion and Q&A period featuring scientists, community leaders, and political representatives.  Join us as a yearly contributor to this terrific event by pledging below!

BEQUESTS IN YOUR WILL OR TRUST

It’s easy to affirm your commitment to otters and watershed conservation by including the River Otter Ecology Project in your will or trust. A bequest is a statement in your will that provides charitable funding for the River Otter Ecology Project after your death.

Suggested Bequest Language:
“I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to River Otter Ecology Project, Forest Knolls, CA [the sum of $_______] OR [___ percent of all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate] to be used by the River Otter Ecology Project in support of its mission of otter research and watershed conservation.”

RETIREMENT PLANS

A portion or all of the balances in your IRAs, 401Ks, and other retirement savings plans can be donated to the River Otter Ecology Project.

LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES
