Each wave begins with a ripple; let’s make waves!
With climate and environmental policy changes affecting our daily lives, we must act locally to protect our waterways for the health of otters, ourselves and all wildlife. We have the agency – as individuals – to make a difference. We have hope, and hope creates action, action creates resilience, and resilience creates strength in times of crisis and change. This gives generations after us the gift of healthier ecosystems.
River otters represent resilience, appearing since we began restoring San Francisco Bay. Their return across the United States after restoration and environmental recovery shows the change created by each individual contributing to make a difference.
When we care for our waterways, we care for otters, ourselves and our children.
As we approach the close of 2024, we want to share an exciting opportunity to double the impact of your support. Thanks to a generous matching gift commitment from an anonymous donor, every dollar you donate will be matched up to $20,000! This means your contribution can go twice as far in helping us protect and restore local waterways.
The matching gift commitment has a deadline! Please gift us by December 31 to help build a wave of support for our shared waterways and river otters!
Your generous gift helps in so many ways:
$1000 Contributes to our National Expansion growth plan fund. We have big plans, and we’re growing. A solid growth plan supports success.
$500 Cover the costs for 15 student research posters – helping them present their learning through our high school science program!
$250 Provides us with a replacement wildlife camera. After a few years of use, they sometimes need replacement due to wear and tear.
$175 Contribute towards our popular educational webinars for adults and children.
$50 Help us buy the daily necessities – printer ink, paper, and the adorable thank-you cards we send to each of our supporters, with photos donated by our wonderful otter spotters
