Jeffrey Wang
Director
Jeff has a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology from UC Davis. He also has a MBA from Yale School of Management with a concentration on management science.
Jeff split his childhood years between Houston, Texas and Beijing, China. He was fascinated by nature as a young child and decided to pursue his bachelor’s degree at UC Davis studying wildlife. After working in the wildlife research and ecotourism field for a few years, it became apparent to him that having specialized knowledge in the wildlife and environmental field wasn’t enough for environmental protection, but that a good understanding of both the private and public sectors was also essential for navigating between different stakeholders.
This realization drove Jeff to drastically change his career route, where he worked across industries such as healthcare, consulting, tech, and marketing to better his understanding of how the public and private sectors intertwine and how economic and social resources are allocated. After first working with ROEP in 2016, Jeff has had the privilege to witness the organization evolve through the years. He hopes to use his new knowledge of the business world to help ROEP explore more growth options in the future.
